Woodchips
Woodchips are an effective and affordable way to enhance and protect your landscape plantings. We offer two options for a load of woodchips (a load is about 12-14 cubic yards – about the size of a minivan and tapering out from there):
Option 1: $80, including sales tax, delivered within one week of receipt of payment (barring storms). The chips are not cleaned or screened and will contain small leaves and twigs. The leaves will decompose quickly and the twigs can go underneath or be removed. The chips come from a variety of trees, but will generally not contain pine or evergreen. Most people do not want evergreen needles, so we avoid them whenever possible.
Option 2: $250, including sales tax, delivered within two weeks of receipt of payment (barring storms). These chips are the highest quality chips we have available, at a much reduced price compared to nurseries and landscape supply companies. These chips are ground from logs only, chipped to fill your order, with no twigs or leaves. They are clean and ready to spread.
To determine how many cubic yards of chips you need, use this formula: multiply the width times the length of the area you wish to cover. divide the square feet by either 108 (for a depth of 3") or 54 (for a depth of 6"). This figure will tell you how many cubic yards of chips you need.
IF YOU DETERMINE THAT YOU RECEIVED MORE CHIPS THAN YOU NEED, WE CHARGE A FLAT FEE OF $100 TO REMOVE AND RETURN UNWANTED CHIPS.
